Edcor Owner and CEO is Named Ascension St. John Foundation Board Trustee

Edcor is pleased to announce that Adrienne Way, the owner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Edcor Data Services, LLC, is a new member of the Ascension St. John Foundation Board of Trustees. Ascension St. John Hospital is part of the largest nonprofit health system in the U.S. and the world’s largest Catholic health ministry.

As a trustee of the Ascension St. John Health System Foundation, Adrienne will use her expertise in business and interest in community service to oversee and support the charitable purpose and mission of the Ascension St. John Health System.

Adrienne purchased Edcor in 2010 after 10 years of working for the organization. She was uniquely qualified to buy Edcor for a number of reasons. While working at Edcor Adrienne gained strong leadership skills as Edcor’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the delivery of tuition administration services, and Director of IT and Operations. She was involved in the design of and helped write Edcor’s Scanning and Verification System patent, the industry’s first patent. She knew every facet of the business from developing programs to processing claims and understood the leadership responsibilities. Now as the owner, Adrienne enjoys mutual respect and rapport with the leadership team.

Adrienne has led Edcor through tremendous growth. Adrienne’s skills have produced strong growth in Edcor’s client base revenue during the past years of a challenging economy. Adrienne has been recognized as a leader and entrepreneur. She was selected as a finalist in EY Entrepreneur of the Year for 2016 and 2017. Under her ownership Edcor was certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise and a Woman Owned Small Business by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council in 2011.

As the leader of a business that bridges education and human resources, Adrienne believes it is important for Edcor to be involved in the community, and she makes it possible for her employees to do so. She encourages Edcor employees to participate in community service and gives each employee two paid, non-vacation days to volunteer at a recognized charity. Adrienne also believes it is important for Edcor’s community involvement to include providing support for young people. She wants to see that young women have the opportunity to become leaders and gives an annual tuition scholarship to Regina High School in Warren, Michigan to help a young woman reach her potential. Adrienne also recognizes how belonging to her high school and college bands taught her important skills. So that others can have this opportunity, Adrienne donates to the Lake Orion High School Marching Band, her high school Alma Mater, to purchase instruments for students needing financial assistance.

Adrienne is a proven leader who believes the keys to Edcor’s success have been its employees, the company values and passion. Her leadership principles include the belief that each employee has an impact on the Edcor team and plays and important role in delivering their services. She adds, “We believe that honesty and integrity are integral to Edcor’s relationship with our Clients and leadership in the industry.” With her business expertise and leadership principles, Adrienne will make valuable contributions as a Trustee on the Ascension S t. John Health System Foundation Board.
