Cardiff TELEform® Automates Tuition Assistance Workflow for Edcor, Increasing Data Processing Efficiency 300 Percent

Cardiff Software Inc., a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, today announced that Edcor, the leader in providing outsourced tuition assistance program management, has automated its tuition assistance application process, using Cardiff's award-winning TELEform Information Capture System. Edcor provides Fortune 1000 corporations with outsourced services to manage enterprise-wide education and learning programs.

Prior to implementing an automated system, Edcor’s Fulfillment Center archived paper documents on microfilm, and the data on the forms was manually entered into its proprietary claims processing database for adjudication and payment. By employing TELEform’s sophisticated process-automation features, Edcor reduced keystrokes per application by 60 percent - from 220 to 80. Additionally, the average document handling time decreased by 80 percent with substantially higher quality by reducing manual data and document processes and providing the ability to present images to Edcor’s Customer Service Representative’s at their desktop computer.

CEO Imaging Systems Inc., a state-of-the-art imaging technology software provider, led the TELEform implementation with assistance from Edcor’s technology department. CEO Imaging also supplied Edcor with its Image Executive Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), a data and record management system.

"TELEform was a front-end solution that immediately could be implemented, and Image Executive supplied the back-end document and record management system that Edcor initially was seeking."

A RightFax Server and Canon DR 5020 scanners serve as input devices, feeding an estimated 1.8 million images into the TELEform system annually. TELEform extracts the data from the forms, verifies key selected values a client-specific ID, employee’s Social Security Number or ID Number, and EDMS department number and sends clean data, form images and attachments to EDMS. The automated system ensures accurate data is sent to back-end and archive applications.
