EDCOR ANNOUNCES EXPANDED SERVICE OFFERING,
UPDATING ITS SERVICE PORTFOLIO WITH TWO VALUE-ADDED SERVICES
DESIGNED TO ASSIST COMPANIES WITH MANAGING THE ADMINISTRATION
OF TUITION ASSISTANCE, LEARNING AND OTHER SPECIALIZED BENEFITS
PROGRAMS
New service lines debut alongside the
US Bureau of Labor Statistics announcement of another rapid rise
in benefits costs in 2004 for U.S. employers
Pontiac, Michigan – Jan. 31, 2005 –
Edcor, the nation’s leading provider of administrative
services designed to manage corporate tuition assistance and
learning programs, announced it is introducing two service
lines targeting U.S. companies who remain besieged with
escalating benefits costs. This announcement followed a
December release by The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which
reported a 6.8% rise in benefit costs for the year ended September
2004. In 2003, benefit costs rose 6.5%.
With this unique focus, Edcor is positioned as a specialized
provider in the rapidly growing human resource outsourcing
(HRO) market. Edcor plans to introduce the services to its
current base of tuition assistance program clients and will
team with larger HRO providers as a tier 1 supplier for HRO
mega deals.
“Edcor has always been focused on assisting
our clients to efficiently and effectively administer Human Resource
programs. This announcement reflects our commitment to become the
market leader in the administration of non-traditional benefits.
We recognize that employers are designing increasingly more flexible
and innovative programs and that an effective and efficient solution
needs to be offered for the consistent administration across a broad
user base. This has been an area of the market neglected by the
large players, and as a consequence, companies have been keeping the
administration of programs such as tuition assistance, discount
purchase programs, transportation, business partner programs and
work/life benefits in-house. We find that when the administration
of these programs is outsourced to Edcor, we can achieve significant
economies of scale“, said Steve Corso, CEO of Edcor.
Edcor also announced significant website enhancements
to coincide with the introduction of the new service offerings.
The updated website, www.edcor.com
was designed by Spiral Creative (www.spiralcreative.com)
and Applied Consulting Group and includes
information on Edcor’s Learning Management and Specialized Benefits
Administrative Solutions.
