Colorado Technical University is offering new Foundations Courses for students interested in pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) or a Master of Science in Computer Science at CTU. The Foundations Courses will provide students who do not have prior undergraduate experience in computer science or information technology with the opportunity to pursue these two specialized master’s degrees. If a student can demonstrate their knowledge of foundational objectives through their prior coursework, the foundation requirement may be waived and admission into the MSIT or MSCS programs can be granted.

Previously, CTU students were required to have an undergraduate degree with a focus in either information technology or computer science. By expanding the acceptance requirements to the MSIT and MSCS programs, students can pursue these graduate areas of interest without formal undergraduate training. Through these Foundational Courses, CTU looks forward to improving the educational opportunities for both current and prospective students.
