Here are a few helpful tips to keep in mind when preparing to enroll at Kaplan University. We’re excited to get to know you and help you through the process of applying for admission. Below is an outline of the steps we’ll take together to get you to your first day of school.
Step 1: Speak With an Advisor
The first step in applying for admission to Kaplan University is speaking to an Admissions Advisor who will explain the process and help you through each step.
To start the application process, visit www.edcor.kaplan.edu and complete an information request form. An Admissions Advisor will contact you and assist you with completing your application. If you would like to speak with an Admissions Advisor right away, call us at 866.583.6765 (Toll Free).
View the online classroom demo video at www.edcor.kaplan.edu, or schedule a tour of the campus if you are applying for admission to one of our campus locations.
Step 2: Interview
The next step in the admissions process is to complete an interview. The interview with your Admissions Advisor is an important opportunity to ask questions, define your educational and professional goals, and explore whether a Kaplan University degree can help. To prepare for your interview:
Identify your goals/objectives and how a degree may help you achieve them.
Note any questions or concerns.
Determine when you would like to start the program.
Be prepared to provide an unofficial transcript. This is required for many of our programs and you may need this for the interview. Contact your previous educational institution(s) to obtain your unofficial transcripts.
Step 3: Application and Enrollment
Complete your online application. Please note: there is a nonrefundable application fee due with your Enrollment Agreement. However, the application fee is waived for employees of preselected corporations and postsecondary institutions with which Kaplan University has an educational relationship.
If you have any unanswered questions at this time, please speak with your Admissions Advisor. We are here to help make sure that you have everything you need to make a well-informed decision.
When you are ready, review and sign your Enrollment Agreement. Then, set up a registration call with your Admissions Advisor.
If you are applying for financial aid, you will need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov (make sure you use the correct school code of 004586). You will then sign your Master Promissory Note, which is provided by the Financial Aid Office.
Step 4: Getting Started
Throughout your time with us, your advisors, faculty, and staff are committed to helping you reach your educational goals, and we look forward to supporting you. Welcome to Kaplan University.
Acceptance to the University
Upon completion of all admissions requirements, the University administration will review the information and inform applicants in writing whether they have been accepted for enrollment. If an applicant is not accepted, he or she will not owe any financial obligation to the University except for the application fee, which is nonrefundable.
