Troy, Mich. – January 192021 Edcorone of the nation’s largest providers of education benefits administration solutions to employers – processing over $250M in tuition assistance payments and supporting more than two million employees in 2020 – announced an exclusive partnership with TutorMe, an online provider of tutoring services for learners from kindergarten through graduate school and owned by education technology services company, Zovio The announcement was made by Edcor CEO and owner, Adrienne Way.

Under the terms of the agreement, Edcor will make TutorMe services, with special negotiated fees, available to its employer network as an additional service offering.  TutorMe provides tutoring services in 300 subject areas in a secure, online environment via website or app through a virtual whiteboard, audio/video chat, screen sharing, and text. Tutors, who have been thoroughly vetted, are available 24/7 and can be accessed in less than one minute.

TutorMe is an established platform that is ideal for today’s virtual educational environment,” Way said. “With Edcor’s national network of adult learners taking approximately 350,000 classes collectively per semester, we have a built-in base that makes the partnership between Edcor and TutorMe a perfect match.”

The TutorMe partnership provides Edcor with a new kind of service offering that will appeal to current and prospective customers as COVID-19 upends the employment market and creates a ripple effect on the need for upskilling and mastering key job duties.

“Anticipating the broad impact of COVID-19 on the workplace, we began a conversation with TutorMe in the early days of the pandemic, knowing the leading employer organizations we serve would be open to new ideas that enhance the value of their employee education dollars,” Way said. “At the same timeTutorMe wanted to tap into our cohort of working students to expand its tutoring reach. It’s very exciting for Edcor to be expanding our customer offerings with a service that is new, yet complementary to our existing suite of services in tuition assistance, student loan repayment assistance, and scholarship administration.”

According to Myles Hunter, TutorMe CEO and co-founder, the relationship with Edcor is among its first businesstobusiness partnerships, creating a new dynamic for the organization that began in 2015 focused directly on higher education providers.

“Through this partnership, Edcor’s clients will have access to our revolutionary online platform that provides on-demand tutoring,” said Hunter. “TutorMe can help make learning more convenient and as effective as possible as working parents juggle their jobs and supporting their children’s remote learning.”
